COLOUR AND ABSTRACT PAINTING WITH DANI HUMBERSTONE – WEDNESDAY 15th MAY 2024

A voyage of discovery into using colour and the various ways of abstraction - what it means and how to do it.

The day will begin with a whistlestop tour of colour theory, including a discussion on the colour wheel, triads, opposites and complementary colours. This will set us up perfectly for exploring the intellectual and physical techniques, abstracting the essence of what is real.   Using a visual language of shape, form and colour, Dani will teach us how to create an illusion of visible reality. Working with acrylic paints, you will leave with a better understanding of the power of colour and a few interesting artworks. The icing on the cake is a copy Dani’s best-selling book - How to Paint Abstracts - to take home.

This course is suitable for beginners or those wanting to explore another aspect to their art. The price includes all materials, refreshments and light lunch.
