INTRODUCTION TO BLOCK PRINTING WITH JENNEY KELLY - TUESDAY 17th MARCH 2026
Spend a fabulous day designing and block printing using blocks commissioned by Jenney and made to her exacting standards in India.
We will start the day by exploring the beautiful blocks and colours for printing. Jenney will teach you how to hold and position the blocks to create your own designs and how to apply the paint. The fun really starts when we experiment on paper, which you can use for wrapping later. During the day we will also design and print on to 8 cards and a delightful draw string pouch.
Once the design for the cushion is perfected, we will print onto calico to build our confidence before tackling the actual cover. Sealing the paint with an iron, the final flourish will be stuffing with a fabulous feather pad, ready to take home and put in pride of place. Of course, such a handmade treasure would make a perfect present but we doubt you will want to part with it!
