PAINTING WITH OILS INSPIRATION FOR THE OUTDOORS WITH ALISON TRASK – MONDAY 17th NOVEMBER 2025
As part of painting week, explore the delights of working with oil paint to create your own landscape masterpiece.
We will start the day with sketching exercises to inform your composition. Working with malleable oil paints, this wonderful medium reflects the emotion of the artist and facilitates a playful intuitive approach to painting. Bring a painting or photograph for inspiration, this is not about copying but taking the essence of an image that appeals and interpreting it in your own way.
Working with a limited palette, Alison will demonstrate how to mix colour and introduce life into your work. We will discover how light, colour and form combine to make a good composition. You will create your own masterpiece by embarking on a conversation with your painting to craft a highly individual piece of work.
What to Expect
Expert tutelage in a relaxed and friendly environment.
working with oil paints to create your own work to take home.
Learn how to make a good composition.
